If you’re using OneNote together with Outlook, you can easily bring important email messages and meeting invitations from Outlook into your notes by using the Send to OneNote feature.
Tip: If you have OneNote Desktop installed, you can use OneNote for Windows 10 or OneNote Desktop. To update the version at any time, select or deselect the check box labeled Use Send to OneNote with OneNote for Windows 10, if available in the Outlook Options dialog box.
Note: If the steps under this New Outlook tab don't work, you may not be using new Outlook for Windows yet. Select Classic Outlook and follow those steps instead.
Send Outlook items to OneNote
In new Outlook, do the following:

Open the item that you want to send to OneNote by doing either of the following:

In your Inbox (or any other mailbox folder), double-click to open the email message that you want to send to OneNote.

In your Calendar, double-click to open the meeting that you want to send to OneNote.

Near the top right of the open item, select the Apps icon, and then select OneNote on the menu that appears.

In the OneNote task pane that appears, select the notebook and the section where you want your selected Outlook item to be saved.

Select Save.
The subject line of each imported message or meeting becomes the title of that item's associated page in OneNote, and the date and time stamp of the original item is retained. This makes it easy to search for it again later.
After sending messages or meetings from Outlook to OneNote, you can freely move their pages around in your notebook, and you can copy or move any of these pages between different sections and to any of your other notebooks.

Enable Send to OneNote in Outlook
Before you can use Send to OneNote with OneNote for Windows 10, do the following:

Select File > Options in the Microsoft Outlook desktop app.

In the Outlook Options dialog box that opens, in the left sidebar, select Advanced.

On the right side of the Outlook Options dialog box, scroll down to the Other heading, and then make sure that the check box labeled Use Send toOneNote with OneNote for Windows 10, if available is selected.

In your desktop version of Microsoft Outlook, do the following:

I’m using OneNote 2016. How can I restore the previous COM Add-in? — In your desktop version of Outlook, select File > Options > Add-ins. Next, under Manage, make sure that COM Add-ins is selected, and then select Go. In the COM Add-ins dialog box that opens, make sure that OneNote Notes about Outlook Items is selected. Next, return to the Outlook Settings dialog box by selecting File > Options > Advanced > Other, and then make sure the option labeled Use Send to OneNote with OneNote for Windows 10, if available is not selected.
