  2. In the Import and Export Wizard, choose Export to a file, and then choose Next.

  3. On the Export to a File page, choose Outlook Date File (.pst), and then choose Next.

  4. On the Export Outlook Data File page, make sure your Inbox is selected, select Include subfolders, and then choose Next.

  5. Choose Browse, select a location for this backup file that's easy to remember, such as your desktop, choose OK, and then choose Finish in the wizard.

  6. You can skip the password suggestion, and choose OK.

Remove your Gmail account from Outlook

After your backup file has been created, you can remove your Gmail account from Outlook, because you can't add multiple accounts with the same email address.

  1. Choose File > Account Settings > Account Settings.

  2. In the Account Settings dialog box, on the Data Files tab, choose Add, enter a different file name, and choose OK.

  3. On the Email tab, choose Remove.

  4. Choose Yes to continue, and then close the dialog box.

  5. Close and restart Outlook.

Add your new Microsoft 365 email account to Outlook

  1. Choose File > Add Account, type your email address in the field provided, choose Connect, type your email password, and choose Sign in.

  2. Leave the Allow my organization to manage my device check box selected, choose Yes, choose Done, and then choose OK in the Mail Delivery Location message.

  3. On the confirmation page, you can add another account to Outlook, or select Done.

Your new Microsoft 365 emails will start to arrive in Outlook.

Import your G Suite Gmail

  1. Choose File > Open & Export > Import/Export.

  2. In the Import and Export Wizard, choose Import from another program or file, and then choose Next.

  3. On the Import a File page, choose Outlook Data File, and then choose Next.

  4. On the Import Outlook Data File page, browse to the location where you saved the backup file, choose Open, and then choose Next in the wizard.

  5. Verify that you're importing the file to the correct Inbox, and choose Finish.

  6. When you see all of the imported emails, calendar, and contacts from G Suite in your new Microsoft 365 account, you can right-click the data file and close it.
