SharePoint spaces: Recommendations and best practices

What 3D object formats are supported in SharePoint spaces?

We recommend using GLB and GLTF format 3D models whenever possible. For a list of file types supported in SharePoint, see File types supported for previewing files in OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.

For 3D content guidelines, see 3D Content Guidelines for Microsoft.

What 360° video format should I use in SharePoint spaces?

There are many considerations to account for when utilizing 360° video. We recommend following these Best practices for 360° videos in SharePoint spaces.

After choosing a file to use in my space, I received an error message that says "Unsupported file name or path." How do I avoid this issue?

Using certain special characters in folder or file names (such as %) can cause files to not load properly in web browsers. The specific characters that will not load properly vary across browser and platform, but a best practice is to use only capital letters, lowercase letters, or numbers in file names and folder paths.
