You have multiple accounts
Choose the account you want to sign in with.

In Microsoft Teams (free) you can update your account name and add, change, or remove your profile picture within the app. 

To update your profile: 

  1. Tap your profile picture, then tap Settings  Settings button.

  2. Tap Profile  Contact button, where you can:

    • Tap Edit image to:

      • Open photo library – Choose from your existing photos.

      • Camera - Take a new profile photo. You may be asked to allow access to your camera.

      • View photo - View the current profile photo you have set.

      • Remove photo - Remove your current profile photo.

  3. Tap the Pencil button  Edit button to update your account name.

Note: When you update your account name here, it will update your Microsoft account.

To update your profile:

  1. Tap your profile picture or More More button, then tap Settings  Settings button.

  2. Tap Profile  Contact button, then Edit.

    From there you can:

    • Take photo – Take a new profile photo. You may be asked to allow access to your camera.

    • Choose existing photo – You will be taken to your camera roll to choose a photo.

    • View photo – View the current profile photo you have set.

    • Remove photo – Remove your current profile photo.

    • Edit name – Update your account name.

Note: When you update your account name here, it will update your Microsoft account.

  1. Open Microsoft Teams (free).

    Tip: For Chat in Windows 11, select the Open Teams  Teams open Teams in Windows 11 button.

  2. Select your profile picture towards the top.

  3. Select your profile picture again. From there you can:

    • Upload picture - You will be taken to your saved files to choose a photo.

    • Remove picture - Remove your current profile photo.

  3. Select Edit name.

  4. Update your account name, then select Save.

Note: When you update your account name here, it will update your Microsoft account.

To update your account name in Microsoft Teams (free) for Windows 11

  1. From Chat in Windows 11, select the Open Teams  Teams open Teams in Windows 11 button.

  2. Select your profile picture towards the top.

  3. Next to your current display name, select the edit Teams edit button  button.

  4. Update your account name, then select Save.

Note: When you update your account name here, it will update your Microsoft account.

Note: This is not currently available in Microsoft Teams (free) for Windows 11.

  1. Select Settings and more  More options button   near your profile picture.

  2. Select Settings  Settings button.

  3. Select Accounts, then select the Manage button, and you will be taken to your Microsoft account page.

To update your profile picture:

  1. Select your profile picture towards the top.

  2. Select your profile picture again. From there you can:

    • Upload picture - You will be taken to your saved files to choose a photo.

    • Remove picture - Remove your current profile photo.

To update your account name:

  1. Select your profile picture towards the top.

  2. Select your current display name.

  3. Select Edit name.

  4. Update your account name, then select Save.

To manage your account:

  1. Select Settings and more  More options button   near your profile picture..

  2. Select Settings  Settings button.

  3. Select Accounts, then select the Manage button, and you will be taken to your Microsoft account page.
