Use Play Together to chat and play with friends in Microsoft Teams (free)

Before you start

• If your Game Bar widget is out of focus or disappears, press the Windows logo key   +G to recall it.

• If you have questions or want to learn more about the widget, visit Start guide and FAQs for Play Together in Microsoft Teams (free).

Install Play Together

First, you'll need to sign in to your Microsoft account. Make sure you have Microsoft Teams (free) installed on your device.

1. To install Play Together, you can do one of the following:

   Open the Microsoft Store
   

   1. You can open the Microsoft Store.

      Open Microsoft Store

   2. Select Profile > Sign In. In the Search box enter Microsoft Teams Play Together, and then Install.

      

   Open the Widget Store on Game Bar
   

   1. Press the Windows logo key   + G.

   2. Select the Widget Menu > Widget Store > Microsoft Teams Play Together > Install.

      

2. Add the Play Together widget as a favorite. Go to the Play Together widget on the Game Bar and select the star to the right side.

   

3. Select Play Together on the Game Bar to open the widget. You’ll see your latest chats load in the widget. 

   

4. Select the Pin button  on the top of your chat list to hold the widget in place as an overlay.
