Introducing Play Together in Microsoft Teams (free) on Windows 11, where you can hang out with friends through voice and video chats or texts. You can see the faces of your friends and family as overlays on top of your game play or watch anywhere on any device with Microsoft Teams (free).

First time using Play Together? We recommend following the steps in this order to start your game play.

Before you start

Install Play Together

First, you'll need to sign in to your Microsoft account. Make sure you have Microsoft Teams (free) installed on your device.

  1. To install Play Together, you can do one of the following:

    Open the Microsoft Store
    Line

    1. You can open the Microsoft Store.

      Open Microsoft Store

    2. Select Profile Sign In. In the Search box enter Microsoft Teams Play Together, and then Install.

      Install Microsoft Teams Play Together widget from the Microsoft Store.

    Open the Widget Store on Game Bar
    Line

    1. Press the Windows logo key   + G.

    2. Select the Widget Menu > Widget Store > Microsoft Teams Play Together > Install.

      The Xbox Game Bar is open to the Widget Menu and the Widget Store is selected.
  2. Add the Play Together widget as a favorite. Go to the Play Together widget on the Game Bar and select the star to the right side.

  3. Select Play Together on the Game Bar to open the widget. You’ll see your latest chats load in the widget.

  4. Select the Pin button Teams pin chat icon on the top of your chat list to hold the widget in place as an overlay.
