Change font size in Outlook on the web

You can change the size of your font when composing email messages in Outlook on the web. When reading email, you can use Zoom in Outlook on the web or your browser's zoom function to make the text larger or smaller.

Change font size when reading email

When reading email, you can zoom in or out to make the text on your screen larger or smaller.

Note

Some languages support an Immersive Reader to make it even easier to read email. Features include having the email read to you and improving text readability. Learn more about using the Immersive Reader.

Use Zoom in Outlook on the web

  1. Select a message to open it in the reading pane.
  2. Select View > Zoom.
  3. Select Zoom in or Zoom out. To go back to the default size, select Reset.

Use your browser's zoom

  • In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more Settings and more > Zoom. Other browsers have a similar zoom option in their menu.

Choose font size when composing email

  1. Create a new message, or reply to a message.
  2. On the Message tab, select the Font size box.
  3. Select the font size you want to use.
