When you import calendar items into classic Outlook for Windows, if you select the Allow duplicates to be created option in the Import and Export Wizard, items already in your Calendar are duplicated.
These steps are for classic Outlook for Windows. New Outlook for Windows doesn't currently have a list view for the calendar. For more information, see Change how you view your Outlook calendar.
To remove duplicate items from your Calendar, do the following:
- In Calendar, in the Folder Pane, select the Calendar folder.
- On the View tab, in the Current View group, select Change View, and then select List.
- Select the Subject column heading to arrange all the calendar items by subject.
- Hold down Ctrl while you select each duplicate calendar item in the list.
- When you have selected all of the duplicate calendar items, press Delete.
- To go back to your usual calendar view, select Change View, and then select Calendar.
Note
To prevent duplicate calendar items when you import calendar items into Outlook, select the Do not import duplicates or Replace duplicates with items imported option in the Import and Export Wizard. For more information, see Import email, contacts, and calendar from an Outlook .pst file.
