What version of Android does your app support?

Applies To
Outlook for Android

Outlook for Android requires Android 10.0 or later. Support for Android 9.x and earlier ended on January 5, 2026. If your device is running Android 9.x or earlier, upgrade it to Android 10 or later to keep receiving Outlook updates. Outlook might keep working on an older version for a while, but it no longer gets new features, bug fixes, or security updates.

If your device is running Android 10 or later but you still see a message that your operating system isn't compatible, try clearing the cache and data for Google Play Services.

To do so:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open your Settings app, then Apps or Applications.
  2. At the top of the screen, tap More (this could also be an ellipsis or three vertical dots), and then Show system.
  3. Scroll down and tap Google Play Services.
  4. Tap Storage & cache (on some devices, Storage), and then tap Clear cache.
  5. Tap Manage space, and then tap Clear all data.
  6. Open the Google Play Store.
  7. Wait for 5 minutes, then try again.
