Use AutoCorrect
AutoCorrect helps improve accuracy by automatically fixing common dictation errors as you work. You can also add custom replacements to ensure product specific terminology, names, or abbreviations are recognized consistently.
Add a new AutoCorrect entry
- Open Preferences, then select AutoCorrect.
- Select Replace text during dictation to enable automatic corrections.
- In the Replace field, enter the word or phrase you want the system to correct or replace (for example, “PCOS”).
- In the With field, enter the corrected word or preferred replacement (for example, “Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)”).
- Select Add to save the entry.
- Select OK to apply your changes.
Modify an existing AutoCorrect entry
- In Preferences, open the AutoCorrect list.
- Select the word or entry you want to update.
- In the With field, enter the new replacement text.
- Select Replace, then select OK to save and apply your update.
