SharePoint is a browser-based app that you connect to through your web browser, like so: Go to office.com, and sign in to your work or school account. In the upper left corner of the window, select the app launcher > All apps > SharePoint.

Before you begin, make sure your PC or Mac meets the system requirements. If you already redeemed a product key, you're simply reinstalling the apps, or you know you have an assigned license through work or school, you can skip ahead and go to the section sign in to download and install Microsoft 365 or Office.

Change or reset your PIN. A PIN is a user-defined set of numbers, or a combination of numbers and letters, that allows you to sign in to your Windows device instead of a password. Your PIN is securely stored on your device, it isn’t transmitted anywhere, and it isn’t stored on a server.

If an Office add-in isn’t showing up in the Office Add-ins list, refresh the list to see all of your add-ins. In Word 2016, Excel 2016, or PowerPoint 2016, click Insert > My Add-ins. In Project 2016, click Project > My Add-ins. Then click Refresh to update the list in the Office Add-ins dialog.

You can now get Office Add-ins from the Store or use add-ins you already have from right within recent versions of Word for Mac and Excel for Mac. There are two kinds of add-ins: Office Add-ins from the Office Store (which use web technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and add-ins made by using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

As part of the startup process, Microsoft Word can load Component Object Model (COM) add-ins. A COM add-in is a supplemental program that extends the capabilities of Microsoft Word by adding custom commands and specialized features.

Select Home > Get Add-ins. Search for Emoji, choose an add-in, and select Add. Follow any additional instructions to learn how to use it.
