Convert a presentation file. On the ribbon, select the File tab. Select Info, then select Convert. After conversion, you are prompted to save the converted presentation: If the original presentation is a PowerPoint 97-2003 ( .ppt) presentation, that original is preserved alongside the new file.

Make sure you are in the right path to save the workbook > Choose PowerPoint Presentation (*.pptx) under Save as type > Select Save. Close and re-open the saved presentation (pptx) for the changes to effect. You will find the converted file in the same folder as type Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation as shown below:

So you have two options for turning your presentation into a video that's ready to view: Save/export your presentation to a video file format (.mp4 or .wmv). Save your presentation as a PowerPoint Show (.ppsx) file. (A PowerPoint Show appears full-screen in Slide Show, ready to view immediately.)

To run your presentation on computers that don't have PowerPoint installed, you can save your presentation as a video file. MOV files can be played in any application that supports QuickTime movies.

Select File > Export > Create a video. Ultra HD (4K) - Largest file size and ultra-high quality (3840 x 2160). Full HD (1080p) - Large file size and full high quality (1920 x 1080). HD (720p) - Medium file size and moderate quality (1280 x 720). Standard (480p) - Smallest file size and lowest quality (852 x 480).

Convert Keynote presentations to Microsoft PowerPoint. If you want to send your presentation to someone but they don't have PowerPoint for Mac or PowerPoint for Windows, you can export your presentation in a different format, such as a picture format or a PDF file, so the recipient can view the slides.
