Save As or convert a publication to .pdf or .xps using Publisher
Click File > Export > Create PDF/XPS Document > Create PDF/XPS. For File name, type a name for the publication. For Save as type, select either PDF or X PS Document. Click Options and choose the publish option best for online or print viewing of your publication: Minimum Size Use this option for online viewing as a single page.

When you want to share a diagram with people who don’t have Visio, publish a diagram, or prevent reviewers from making changes, save it as an image file or in PDF format. Save as a PDF file. Select File > Export. Select Create PDF/XPS. Go to the folder where you want to save the file. Type a file name, and select Publish.

Choose text encoding when you open and save files
In the Convert File dialog box, select Encoded Text. In the File Conversion dialog box, select Other encoding , and then select the encoding standard that you want from the list. You can preview the text in the Preview area to check whether all the text is readable in the encoding standard that you selected.
