From the Overview page, select Office apps and on that page, find the Microsoft 365 product you want to install and select Install. To install Microsoft 365 in a different language, or to install the 64-bit version, use the dropdown to find more options.

For guidance on how to locate the Apps button to access add-ins while reading or composing a mail item, see Use an add-in in Outlook. In the Apps page, search for the add-in you want from the available list. Alternatively, if you're after a specific add-in, enter its name in the search box.

Use the My Office Add-ins and SharePoint page to check your add-in’s status and retrieve hidden add-ins. In the Office Add-ins dialog, select an add-in and click. Go back to Word 2016, Excel 2016, PowerPoint 2016, or Project 2016 and refresh the Office Add-ins list using the steps above.

COM Add-ins are typically used to automate Excel in response to a click of a CommandBar button, a form or dialog box, or some other event specific to Excel such as opening or closing workbooks or entering data on worksheets. COM Add-in functions cannot be directly called from cell formulas in worksheets.

Click File > Get Add-ins. Alternatively, you can click Home > Add-ins. You can directly install add-ins from this page or select More Add-ins to explore. In the Office Add-ins box, click Store tab. Browse for the add-in you want.

You can use the new web Office Add-ins in most of the Office 2016, Office 2019, and Microsoft 365 applications. Select a heading below to open it and see the detailed instructions.

Get an Office Store add-in. On the Insert tab, look for the Add-ins group. To get new add-ins, select Get Add-ins. To use add-ins you already have, select My Add-ins . The add-ins you'll see will depend on the kind of Microsoft 365 subscription you have.

Add-ins provide optional commands and features for Microsoft Excel. By default, add-ins are not immediately available in Excel, so you must first install and (in some cases) activate these add-ins so that you can use them. Some add-ins are built in to Excel, such as Solver and the Analysis ToolPak.

Select File > Get Add-ins. Alternatively, in Word, Excel and PowerPoint you can view your add-ins by selecting Home > Add-ins.

The Restrict users to the explicitly permitted list of snap-ins Group Policy setting lets you selectively enable or disable specific Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-ins. However, before you enable this setting, you must enable the settings in the "Restricted/Permitted snap-ins" folder for MMC snap-ins that you want to use.
