There are a number of possible explanations for why verification codes don't always arrive. Read through the list of the most common causes, and see if any of them apply to you, or use our troubleshooter to help guide you.

Turn on your Bluetooth printer or scanner and make it discoverable. The way you make it discoverable depends on the device. Check the device or visit the manufacturer's website to learn how. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Add device.

In the meantime, sign in to your account to see your latest refund request status. Redeem gift cards and codes to make Xbox purchases and extend your Xbox subscriptions. Codes are 25 characters long, include both numbers and letters, and follow a 5x5 format—five blocks of five characters.

Here's how to pay a past-due balance on your account using a Microsoft account balance: Find your past-due subscription on the Services & subscriptions page. The amount past due is shown in red. Select Pay now, and then follow the instructions to pay the balance due.

You can manage all of your Microsoft subscriptions in your Microsoft account dashboard. Select each subscription to change when and how you pay, or to see order history & receipts. Choose your account type.

If you pre-ordered a game and want to cancel, you can do so up to 10 days before the game launches at: Order history. Sending a message. If you haven't already set up messages, do the following: On your PC, in the Phone Link, select Messages. To start a new conversation, select New message. Enter the name or phone number of a contact. Select the person you want to send a message to.
