There are a number of possible explanations for why verification codes don't always arrive. Read through the list of the most common causes, and see if any of them apply to you, or use our troubleshooter to help guide you.

How to redeem a code on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select Store. Press the View button to open the side menu, and then select Redeem. Enter the 25-character code, select Next, and then follow the prompts.

If you're unable to read all 25 characters of your digital code, you'll need to request a replacement code by contacting aka.ms/contactxboxsupport. When you contact support, make sure to provide the proof of purchase, the serial number, and a picture of the damaged code.

Cast to a display from a Windows PC. You can wirelessly connect your PC to a TV, projector, or other kind of external display that supports Miracast. Turn on your TV, projector, or other display. If you're using a Miracast dongle or adapter, make sure it's plugged in to the display.

Contact Support. For technical support, go to Contact Microsoft Support, enter your problem and select Get Help. Enter code and reset password. Confirm the code to create a new password. Learn how to create a strong password. Paste or type the code you received and select Next. Type your new password and select Next.
