In Outlook, you have the option to: Attach a file | Upload a locally saved file to your OneDrive | Insert a picture into the body of a message | Attach an email item | Solve problems with attachments. Attach a file to an email message in new Outlook. New Outlook keeps track of the files you have worked on recently and suggests them whenever you decide you want to attach a file to an email message.

Features with audio and video functionality.. Many features that come as part of Windows can be used to view or play video or audio content. Here are some examples: OneNote app (lets people record or play audio), Microsoft Edge web browser (lets people play audio and video content on the internet), the Photos app, the OneDrive app, and others.

You can open the Copilot pane via the Copilot icon in the ribbon's Home tab. This helpful feature provides answers to questions—broad or specific—about your document. You can even iterate and refine with back-and-forth discussions, get a summary or specific information about the document content, or ask it to generate ideas, tables, or lists that you can copy and insert into your document.

Import a text file by opening it in Excel. You can open a text file that you created in another program as an Excel workbook by using the Open command. Opening a text file in Excel does not change the format of the file — you can see this in the Excel title bar, where the name of the file retains the text file name extension (for example, .txt or .csv).

Alternate command key. What it does. Help. Opens the Help system (if any) for the active window. Undo. Cancels the previous action. Redo. Cancels the previous Undo action.

The transcribe feature converts speech to a text transcript with each speaker individually separated. After your conversation, interview, or meeting, you can revisit parts of the recording by playing back the timestamped audio and edit the transcription to make corrections.

To pin Quick Assist to your taskbar so you can quickly get back to it, after Quick Assist is open, right-click (or press and hold) the icon on your taskbar > Pin to taskbar. If the old app icon still appears on your device, make sure you select the new app icon.

Text preferences in Immersive Reader. Choose from a wide variety of text and color options such as Text size, Text spacing, and Page themes to enhance your experience in Immersive Reader. Find these settings in Text preferences from the Immersive Reader toolbar. Text size: Under the label Text size, move the slider right to make the text larger; move it left to make the text smaller.

What are passkeys? Passkeys are a replacement for your password. With passkeys, you can sign into your Microsoft personal account, or your work/school account using your face, fingerprint, or PIN.
