There's no charge to switch out of S mode. To switch out of S mode, click here to open the Microsoft Store to the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page. On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you'll be able to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store.

Select Start > Settings > Network & internet, then turn on Wi-Fi. Next, select More options ( >) next to Wi-Fi, then select Show available networks. If a network you expect to see appears in the list, select it, then select Connect . Open Wi-Fi settings. See if you can use the Wi-Fi network to get to websites from a different device.

To check if Windows 11 is ready for your device, go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates. If the upgrade is available for your device and you want to proceed, download and install it. Note: Downloading and installing Windows 11 will most likely take longer than a typical Windows 10 feature update.

Select Start > All apps and search for the app in the list shown. Press and hold (or right-click) on the app, then select Uninstall. Uninstall in Settings.
