If you want to give access to desktop apps, make sure that Let desktop apps access your microphone is turned on.You can't turn off microphone access for individual apps. Others can't hear me. Try the following solutions:

On the Choose an account screen, click the Microsoft account button.; On the Add your Microsoft account screen, enter the email address and password associated with your Microsoft account.; On the Make it yours screen, you'll have the option to make this Microsoft account your primary account. If you selected the Show icon on my profile check box but the icon still isn’t displaying, sign out of the device where you have the issue and then sign back in.
