Turn on Find my device. When you set up a new device, you can decide whether to turn on or turn off the Find my device setting. If you turned it off during setup and now want to turn it on, make sure your Windows device is connected to the internet, has enough battery power so it can send its location, and that you're signed in to the device using your Microsoft account.

If you selected the Show icon on my profile check box but the icon still isn’t displaying, sign out of the device where you have the issue and then sign back in. On a PC, you may also be required to restart the app: Start Task Manager, choose the app that’s running (Game Bar or Xbox app), select End task, and then restart the app.

In Display settings, select Brightness , then set the Change brightness based on content drop-down as needed: Off: Adaptive brightness control will be turned off and screen brightness and contrast will not be adjusted. This can result in shorter battery life.
