Microsoft Edge makes it easy to save your passwords as you browse the web. When you enter a new password in the Edge browser on your desktop or mobile device, Microsoft Edge will ask if you want your username and password remembered. The next time you visit the site, the browser will finish filling in your account info.

Up to version 2.9.x, the desktop app only supports personal Microsoft accounts. From version 3.x, the app supports work or school Microsoft accounts (AAD/Entra ID). NewsGuard is a 3rd party extension that assesses websites on journalistic standards of credibility and transparency in the US. This extension is available in the Microsoft Edge app but is turned off by default. When turned on, this extension will not prevent access to sites or interrupt browsing.
