Important: Steps may be different between new and classic Outlook for Windows. To determine which version of Outlook you're using, look for File on the ribbon.If there's no File option, follow the steps under the New Outlook tab. If the File option appears, select the tab for Classic Outlook.

In the search box on the taskbar, type Create a restore point, and select it from the list of results.

Cloud files can exist locally on the disk or be available online only. To choose the conditions for when inactive files are made online only, under Content will become online-only if not opened for more than: choose your preferred amount of time. Note that starting in Windows 11, version 22H2, the default for OneDrive cloud files is to make files online-only if not opened for more than 30 days.

Under Message organization, choose either of the options depending on whether you want to show email grouped by conversation or as individual message.. If you select Show email grouped by conversation, under Arrange the reading pane, select either of the options: Newest on top, Newest on bottom, or Show each message separately.

Microsoft 365 for business. If your Microsoft 365 product is one of the following, you have a Microsoft 365 for business product. Top of Page. Contacts (People) keyboard shortcuts. The People view is your address book in Outlook where your personal contacts are stored and where you can open any address book that has been set up for your organization. The People, Mail, and Calendar views work together so you can easily send mail to and schedule appointments with your most important people.
