When you connect a scanner to your device or add a new scanner to your home network, you can usually start scanning pictures and documents right away. If your scanner doesn't automatically install, here's some help to get things working. Select a section heading below to open it and see details on using your scanner:

Take a picture of some printed data Maybe you’d like to get data from your previous tax returns into Excel and you only have printed copies.Just take a picture of each one, transfer the pictures to your computer (OneDrive is great for this). Then, click Data > From Picture > Picture From File and follow the on-screen instructions to convert picture to data.

Copy images and text from one PC to another with a cloud-based clipboard. Not only can you can paste from your clipboard history, but you can also pin the items you find yourself using all the time.

This article applies if you’ve recently made changes to your device hardware and are trying to upgrade to Windows 11. Hardware changes might affect your upgrade eligibility, though you’ll need to take a few steps to see your updated eligibility in Settings.

In the list next to Personalize your background, select Picture, Solid color, Slideshow, or Windows Spotlight (to see a new image from around the world every day).

If you can't find a file on your computer or you accidently modified or deleted a file, you can restore it from a backup (if you're using Windows backup) or you can try to restore it from a previous version.Previous versions are copies of files and folders that Windows automatically saves as part of a restore point.

You can manage all of your Microsoft subscriptions in your Microsoft account dashboard. Select each subscription to change when and how you pay, or to see order history & receipts.
