View or change the properties for an Office file

Compare two versions of a workbook by using Spreadsheet Compare
Open Spreadsheet Compare. In the lower-left pane, choose the options you want included in the workbook comparison, such as formulas, cell formatting, or macros. Or, just Select All. Attach files and graphics to the records in your database
On the Table Fields tab, in the Formatting group, click the down arrow next to Data Type, and then click Attachment. Access sets the data type for the field to Attachment, and places an icon in the header row of the field. The following figure shows a new Attachment field.
