Voice typing. In Windows 11, dictation has been updated and renamed as voice typing. Like dictation, voice typing uses online speech recognition technologies to power its speech-to-text transcription service. You no longer need to turn on the Online Speech recognition setting to use voice typing.

To upgrade to Windows 11, you need enough space on your hard drive for the installation to take place. To view how much hard drive space is available on your computer, select File Explorer on the taskbar (known as Windows Explorer in Windows 7) or press Windows logo key + E. Then select Computer or This PC and look under Hard Disk Drives or under Devices and drives.

To control location for just your user account, switch the Let apps access your location setting On or Off.If "Location services is off" appears on the settings page, you won't be able to turn on the Let apps access your location setting for an individual user account.

Microsoft family settings might be hiding apps. Parents can use family settings to make sure that their child can't view or install apps that are inappropriate for their age.

In Windows 11, ensure that Camera access, Let apps access your camera, and the individual toggle for the Microsoft Store app you wish to use is turned on. If you do not see the app or website you're looking for in the list, it's likely a desktop app. Desktop apps cannot be individually toggled, but access for those apps can be controlled using Let desktop apps access your camera.

Choose your SafeSearch preference: Strict, Moderate, or Off.Select Save at the bottom of the menu.
