Because this mode is streamlined for tighter security, the Virus & threat protection area has fewer options. But don't worry—the built-in security of this mode automatically prevents viruses and other threats from running on your device, and you'll receive security updates automatically. In Outlook, the message recipient can decline to send read receipts. There are other scenarios where read receipts are not sent, such as if the recipient's email program doesn’t support read receipts. There is no way to force a recipient to send a read receipt. Select a tab option below for the version of Outlook you're using.

Note: If you don't have the Surface app installed, you can download the Surface app from the Microsoft Store. When it has downloaded, select Start , search for Surface, then select the app from the list of results. Look in Settings for Windows 11.

Notes: If you don't see an option to Cancel, but instead see a link that says Turn on recurring billing, this means your subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and you won't be automatically charged after this date. There's nothing further to do at this time, and you can continue to use the product until your Microsoft 365 subscription expires.

Know your limits Many email service providers set limits for the number of names that can be included in the To, Cc, and Bcc boxes in a message. For example, your email service provider may limit each message to a maximum of 100 email addresses. If these addresses are distributed among the To, Cc, and Bcc boxes, remember that the names in the Bcc box will count toward your total limit.

If you're moving from a Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 PC to a new Windows device, you'll find that the best way to get apps and games is through Microsoft Store.

Be careful to set the correct microphone input on your device, otherwise results may be disappointing. For example, if your computer's microphone input is set to your headset mic based on the last time you used it, it won't work well for picking up an in-person meeting. If you want to record and transcribe a virtual call, don't use your headset.
