When you back up your files, apps, and settings in the cloud using your Microsoft account, you get 5 GB of free cloud storage and other benefits that protect your files with the latest security and make everyday tasks easier.

Windows Security provides built-in security options to help protect your device from malicious software attacks. To access the features described below, tap the Windows Start button, type windows security, select it from the results, and then select Device security.

To access your sign-in options, go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.. Or just select this button: Go to Sign-in options. Change or manage your password or PIN. To change your password or PIN, go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options. Select PIN (Windows Hello), and then select Change PIN.

Note: If you see the icon next to the On/Off toggle for an app, you can select it to see the registry location that contains the path for the app. Apps installed through Microsoft Store (.MSIX apps) don’t have these icons. If you select the icon for these apps, File Explorer opens and highlights the executable file.

Updates to the default screen and sleep settings now help you use energy more efficiently and extend battery life. That verification method isn’t working right now: Sometimes the block may be tied to the verification method you are using.Try using another verification method connected to your account. For example, if you are using SMS to verify yourself and are hitting a block, try using an alternate email that is connected to the account to receive your authorization code.

Use the Windows Quick Assist app to get help with a computer problem from family or friends or help them out. Quick Assist uses a remote connection, so remember to only use it with people you trust, since they can see your computer screen or control your PC (if you allow it).

Important: You don't need to remove old security information unless there is an account security risk (e.g. someone else has access to your old mailbox).

Using clipboard. When you copy content on your PC, it’s automatically copied to your clipboard for you to paste. You can paste multiple items from your clipboard history, and you can also pin the items you tend to use all the time and sync your clipboard history to the cloud.
