Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security and then Virus & threat protection > Manage settings. (In early versions of Windows 10, select Virus & threat protection > Virus & threat protection settings .) Open Windows Security settings. Switch the Real-time protection setting to Off and choose Yes to verify.

Troubleshoot unrequested verification codes. Note: If you're still not receiving verification codes, you may have to choose another method, or wait until you can access the phone or email you've listed. To protect your account and its contents, our support agents are not allowed to send verification codes or access and change account details.

Sign in to the Advanced security options page of your Microsoft Account. Sign in. Select Add a new way to sign in or verify then choose how you would like to receive security codes.
