If you want to stop a file or folder from syncing or backing up, you can pause the upload or download. See Stop syncing temporarily below for details.. If uploads or downloads with the OneDrive website are taking too long, or you selected the wrong files, they can be cancelled.

Things to try first. Try these things first to help you fix or narrow down the connection problem. Run Get Help to troubleshoot and fix common connection problems. To upgrade to Windows 11, you need enough space on your hard drive for the installation to take place. To view how much hard drive space is available on your computer, select File Explorer on the taskbar (known as Windows Explorer in Windows 7) or press Windows logo key + E. Then select Computer or This PC and look under Hard Disk Drives or under Devices and drives.

To open the Start menu—which contains all your apps, settings, and files—you can do any of the following: On the center or left end of the taskbar, select the Start icon.

If a language is listed under Preferred languages but doesn't appear on the Windows display language list, you'll first need to install its language pack (if it's available).. Select Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region.
