The Xbox app on PC relies on two Microsoft accounts: the Microsoft Store account, and the Xbox account (your PC gaming account). The Microsoft Store account provides access to owned games, subscription benefits, and other Xbox app purchases made by that account. The Xbox account is used for game streaming access, in-game purchases, achievements, and friends.

Tips: If members are in North America, you can add them using their mobile number. Members can only be part of one family group. A member will need to leave the current family group to join a new one.

You may see an "account frozen" message and icon if you have exceeded your storage allowance and/or haven't signed in for a long time. You just need to get back under your Microsoft storage quota to get access to your files again.

On your PC, go to Xbox.com and select Sign in.If there are problems with your account, the instructions will help you solve them. If you can’t go beyond the sign-in screen, select Forgot my password and follow the instructions.

Voice typing. In Windows 11, dictation has been updated and renamed as voice typing. Like dictation, voice typing uses online speech recognition technologies to power its speech-to-text transcription service. You no longer need to turn on the Online Speech recognition setting to use voice typing.

Note: If you can’t select anything in the Allowed apps and features box, you aren't logged in as an administrator. Select Change Settings, type your administrator password, and select Yes.If you're an administrator on your device, the password should be the same as the one you used to set up your device. Then, make sure Private and Public are selected and select OK.
