Safe mode starts Windows in a basic state, using a limited set of files and drivers. If a problem doesn't happen in safe mode, this means that default settings and basic device drivers aren't causing the issue.

If too many people have this level of access, it could lead to security risks like malware installation or unwanted changes to your system.

If Windows Update finds an updated driver, it will download and install it, and your printer will automatically use it. If a device driver couldn’t be installed automatically, there may be an optional driver available that your printer can use.

If you don't have a desktop PC and the slider doesn't appear or work, try updating the display driver. Select Search on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results.In Device Manager, select Display adapters, then select the display adapter.Press and hold (or right-click) the display adapter name, then select Update driver and follow the instructions.

Virtualization lets your PC emulate a different operating system, like Android™ or Linux. Enabling virtualization gives you access to a larger library of apps to use and install on your PC.

You can also use the keyboard to browse through features and change feature options. Use the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys to select features. Use the RIGHT ARROW key to expand a feature that contains one or more sub-features.

Use your scanner and download an app from Microsoft Store to scan a document or picture to your PC.

Select Add a printer or scanner.. Wait for it to find nearby scanners, then choose the one you want to use and select Add device.
