Windows 10 puts notifications and quick actions in Action Center—right on the taskbar—where you can get to them instantly. Select Action Center on the taskbar to open it. (You can also swipe in from the right edge of your screen, or press Windows logo key + A.). Notifications at a glance

From the Start menu or apps list, press and hold (or right-click) an app, then, if available, select Pin to taskbar .

Windows Photo Viewer isn't part of Windows 10, but if you upgraded from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you might still have it. To check, press and hold (or right-click) a photo in File Explorer, and select Open with.If Windows Photo Viewer isn't in the list, you cannot install it on Windows 10.

Note: If you see the icon next to the On/Off toggle for an app, you can select it to see the registry location that contains the path for the app. Apps installed through Microsoft Store (.MSIX apps) don’t have these icons. If you select the icon for these apps, File Explorer opens and highlights the executable file.
