Unlock a file that has been locked for editing - Microsoft Support
The file might be locked because: The file is shared and another user is currently editing it. An instance of the Office app is running in the background with the file already opened. The file has been marked as Final and can no longer be updated. In some situations, you can use your mobile device to unlock the file and continue editing it.

Create and save all your macros in a single workbook
Click Developer > Stop Recording, and Excel will have created your Personal Macro worbook. When you close the workbook, you'll be prompted to save both the workbook, and the Personal Macro workbook. To see the macro you created: Go to Developer > Visual Basic to launch the Visual Basic Editor (VBE), which is where your macros are stored.

Open XML Formats and file name extensions - Microsoft Support
