Fixes an issue in which a WSAENOBUFS error 10055 occurs and an application may be unable to create new sockets on a multiprocessor computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7. Additionally, a "no buffer space available" exception occurs.

Fixes an issue in which an RDS client computer cannot connect to a Windows 7-based, Windows Server 2008 R2-based, Windows Vista-based, or Windows Server 2008-based RDS server by using a remote desktop connection. This issue occurs after the SSL certificate for the RDS server is archived.

Cause. This issue occurs because the Remote Desktop Services Device Redirector service creates a new port every time that an RD session is established. However, the inactive ports are not recycled. Resolution Method 1: Windows Update. This update is provided as an Optional update on Windows Update for Windows Server 2012.

Resolution. Microsoft has created a new version of the installation file, FXFRINST.BAT, that will make the appropriate adjustments to the registry keys and resolve this problem. The updated version of RDPCLIP.EXE contains the updated FXFRINST.BAT and FXFR.INI files.
