OneDrive offline mode process update: On Windows, the process for offline mode is now called Microsoft OneDrive Sync Service (OneDrive.Sync.Service.exe), replacing Microsoft SharePoint (Microsoft.SharePoint.exe). The icon has also changed from SharePoint to OneDrive for improved clarity.

Follow the steps below to reset your OneDrive app. 1. On your computer keyboard, press the Windows key and R at the same time to open the Run dialog box. 2. Copy or type wsreset.exe into the box then select OK. Note: A blank Command Prompt window will open and close briefly, then the Microsoft Store app will open.

The old OneDrive sync app (Groove.exe) has a blue cloud with white outlining as shown below. If you see different icons as shown below, you have the new OneDrive app and don’t have to update the app. If the icon doesn't appear in the notification area, OneDrive might not be running.
