You can use Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote for the Web to convert your doc into a PDF. Select File > Print > Print (in PowerPoint you will select one of three formats).

Export document as a PDF without any comments included. > Download as PDF with comments ... Export as PDF with all comments included. In the presented confirmation dialog box select Download. Locate the newly created PDF in your designated download location.

Set the file type to PDF and select Save. The same sensitivity label and any encryption that was set on the source file will be automatically applied to the new PDF. Note: If you're an IT pro looking for more details, see PDF support.

Choose PDF if you want to save your publication in a format that can be easily shared and is used by many commercial printers. Choose XPS if you want to save your publication with even greater compression than PDF format.

In Microsoft 365 for Windows, Microsoft 365 for Mac, and Office for the web, you can add tags automatically when you save a file in PDF format. The fastest and easiest way to make sure your PDF is accessible is to run the Accessibility Checker before you generate or save your document as a PDF.

That way, you'll have two files: a Word document you can continue to edit and a PDF file you can share. If you don't change the name, your document will be converted to a PDF, and you won't be able to change it back without using specialized software or a third-party add-in.
