Use this app to try to recover lost files that have been deleted from your local storage device (including internal drives, external drives, and USB devices) and can’t be restored from the Recycle Bin.

Restore deleted files and folders or restore a file or folder to a previous state. Navigate to the folder that used to contain the file or folder, right-click it, and then select Restore previous versions.

If you accidentally delete a file or folder in OneDrive, you may be able to recover it later from the OneDrive recycle bin, and if you're a Microsoft 365 subscriber, you can even restore your entire OneDrive if something goes wrong.

Select Start > Settings > Personalization > Themes > Desktop icon settings. Make sure the check box for Recycle Bin is checked, then select OK. You should see the icon displayed on your desktop. Note: If you are in tablet mode, desktop icons are not displayed.

If you’ve deleted Class Notebook pages or sections and then emptied the OneNote Recycle bin, you can recover these files using OneDrive. This works if the OneDrive Recycle bin hasn't been emptied yet. Select OneDrive. If you do not see it right away, open the App launcher to locate it.
