Office Document Cache settings - Microsoft Support
To get to the cached Office files, open the Office Upload Center and select All Cached Files from the drop-down list next to the Refresh button. It will show a list of files in your cache which you can double click to open, even while offline.

Set Upload Center preferences - Microsoft Support
Turn off the bouncing Dock icon. On the Upload Center menu, click Preferences. Clear the Bounce the dock icon once when there is an error check box. Clear the Office Document Cache. You can clear the Office Document Cache at any time. Files that are waiting to be uploaded and files that have errors are not deleted.
