While items are in the site recycle bin, you can restore items you deleted to their original location. If you're using SharePoint in Microsoft 365, you can even view and restore items that were deleted by someone else, as long as you have edit permissions.

Find the Recycle Bin. If your desktop shows no icons at all, right-click (or press and hold) the desktop and select View. If Show desktop icons has no checkmark, click it to add one. If that doesn't work, try this: Select Start > Settings > Personalization > Themes > Desktop icon settings.

With version history, you can see and restore older versions of your files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint. Version history works with all file types, including Microsoft 365 files, PDFs, CAD files, photos, videos, and more.

Before you start. Check these things before you start troubleshooting Bluetooth on your device: Check your product information. From this page, you can view items that are currently in a user's Recycle Bin and items that a user has deleted from his or her Recycle Bin, sending the items to the second stage Recycle Bin also known as the Site Collection Recycle Bin.

Enable and configure versioning for a list or library. Use Version History to view previous versions of files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint libraries.

Those deleted files no longer be stored in the Recycle Bin, and it would be a great loss when you need them back. In case of this issue, the settings could be recovered by following the steps below. Specific steps: Right-click the Recycle Bin icon, and click Property.
