Add and sync shared folders to OneDrive for home. When someone shares a folder with you, it appears in the Shared section of your OneDrive.com. If you have Edit permissions to those shared folders, you can add them to the My files section of your OneDrive to make them easier to access and work with.

If you are the file owner, you can stop sharing the file or folder. If someone has been given direct access, or has access through a specific people link, you can also change the sharing permissions between view and edit. Here are the steps: Select the file or folder you want to stop sharing.

Sign in to OneDrive.com with your personal Microsoft account. In the left pane, under OneDrive, select Shared. Files or folders shared with you appear under the names of the people who shared them. Select a file or folder to open it, just as you would any other item in OneDrive.

There are several ways to share files using File Explorer including using an app to share, using OneDrive, sending an email, or sharing over a network.

Share files. In an Office app like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint: From a file you'd like to share, select Share. Select the permission settings you want. Type in the name of the Yammer group you want to share with — the name should automatically populate from your organization's directory.

Use the Share Resources dialog box to set preferences for sharing resources with other projects. You can: Turn resource sharing on or off. Choose which project file resources are being shared from.
