Symptoms
When you run the setup.exe with prepare* command, the following message is returned:
Note
Exchange Setup has enabled Extended Protection on all the virtual directories on this machine.
This message should appear only if Exchange Server Setup installs or upgrades an existing Exchange server and not if it's used to prepare the schema, directory, or domain.
Resolution
To fix this issue, install the following cumulative update:
- Cumulative Update 15 for Exchange Server 2019 or a later cumulative update for Exchange Server 2019
