Symptoms

After you install the security updates that are included in MS16-118 and MS16-126, SCOM Management Console crashes in State view. 

Note This update is also included in the following updates:

  • 3199125 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 RTM: October 18, 2016
  • 3200068 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511: October 18, 2016

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Resolution

Important To completely fix this issue for Internet Explorer in Windows Server 2008 Windows Vista, you must also install MS16-142: Security update for Internet Explorer: November 2016 (KB3197655).
