Introduction

Image Transform is a Windows AI component for Copilot+ PCs that enables on-device image editing and visual transformation across Windows features and apps. It provides machine learning models and runtime functionality to remove selected foreground objects and generate background content in the cleared area.

Image Transform runs locally on dedicated AI hardware, delivering fast, low-latency inference while keeping image data on the device for privacy. It works alongside other Windows AI components, including Image Processing and Image Creation, to support on-device image understanding and creation on Windows Copilot+ PCs.
