"500: Unable to process request" error and hybrid configuration fails

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  1. You deploy a Microsoft Skype for Business topology.
  2. You install the Teams module on all front-end servers.
  3. You open Control Panel as an administrator through a web browser.
  4. You configure a hybrid setup for Skype for Business Online and Teams and through Control Panel.

In this scenario, the hybrid configuration fails and returns a "500: Unable to process request" error message.

Resolution

To fix this issue, install the following update for Microsoft Skype for Business Server 2019:

You should enter the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) value when you configure hybrid setup.
