Skype for Business 2016 does not display the title or department in the search results when title field is empty in AD

Symptoms

When you search for a user who has no Job Title information in Active Directory (AD), neither the user’s Job Title nor the Department information is displayed in the contact list in Microsoft Skype for Business 2016.

Resolution

To fix this issue, install the September 12, 2017, security update (KB4011040) for Skype for Business 2016.
