Skype stores files and photos you've shared, calls you've recorded, and other items for easy access across all of your devices. However, each item has a different length of time that it's available in your chat history:

Learn more about exporting your chat history or files . Keep in mind that any items that have been deleted by you and your contact will no longer be available in your chat history or to export. *Messages, videos, video messages, and pictures are available until they are deleted or dated back to April 2017 and chat titles until deleted or users leave conversations.
