Can I charge my Surface with the USB-C port?
Yes, you can usually charge your Surface with the USB-C port. However, we highly recommend using the charger that came with your Surface because the charging speed with a USB-C cable can be very slow, depending on the power supply and cable you’re using. For more info about power requirements for charging Surface devices using USB-C, see How to charge Surface.
Surface Studio 2 has a USB-C port, but it does not receive inbound power through USB-C. You should use the power cord that came with your Surface Studio 2 for power.
