Microsoft Teams Free helps you stay in touch with your contacts. You can join communities, create meetings, share images and files in chats, and more.

The following list breaks down the features found within each tab.

Chat

The Chat Screenshot of Chat tab in mobile Teams Free tab is where you view and access your group and one-to-one chats. Learn how to send and receive messages.

  • Search Screenshot of search in mobile Chat tab - Find communities, chats, messages, and more.
  • Meet Screenshot of Meet in mobile Chat tab - Select to create a meeting, share a meeting invite, copy a meeting link, and explore meeting options.
  • Filter Screenshot of filter in mobile Chat tab - Search by Unread, Meeting, or Muted.
  • New chat Screenshot of chat in mobile Chat tab - Start a new one-on-one or group chat. To add recipients, search by name, phone number, or email.

Communities

Meet

The Meet tab Meet in mobile Chat tab is where you can schedule personal and community events.

If you schedule a meeting, you can see and join your events in the Meet tab. You can also:

  • Meet - You can create a new meeting, share meeting invite, copy meeting link, or review meeting options.
  • Schedule - Select to schedule a meeting.
  • Join with ID- Enter in a meeting ID and optional meeting passcode to join a meeting.

Activity

The Activity tab Screenshot of Activity in your accounts and orgs on mobile is where you get the latest notifications for your chats and communities. Learn more about your Activity feed.

  • Activity- Keep up to date with your notifications.

Settings

You can review and manage your settings in Microsoft Teams Free. Learn more about Settings.

  1. Select your profile picture. You can access your profile settings, adjust your status message, and more.
