Symptoms

Consider the follow scenario:

  • You have a hardware device that supports remote management by using the Physical Computer System View (PCSV) cmdlets.

  • You log on a computer that is running Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2, and then you run the Windows PowerShell Get-PcsvDevice cmdlet to remotely manage the hardware device.

In this scenario, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

Get-PcsvDevice: WS-Management cannot process the request. The operation failed because of an HTTP error. The HTTP error (12152) is: The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install update rollup 2984006. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
