In a Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 environment, when you add a mailbox database copy to a database availability group (DAG) by using the Add-MailboxDatabaseCopy cmdlet or Exchange Admin Center (EAC), you could receive an error message that resembles the following:

The seeding operation failed. Error: The Microsoft Exchange Replication service may not be running on server

Error: Error 0x6d9 (There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper) from cli_RpccGetDbSeedStatus [Server:]However, the copy is still created.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

To fix this issue, install the Cumulative Update 1 for Exchange Server 2019 or a later cumulative update for Exchange Server 2019.
