Outlook configuration fails in Android or iOS

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You install the latest build of Microsoft Exchange 2019 or 2016.
  • You enable extended protection by running the script.
  • You try to configure Microsoft Outlook on the Android or iOS mobile operating systems.

In this scenario, the configuration fails, and you receive the following error message:

Something went wrong. Check your account information and try again. Or contact your IT Admin.

Resolution

To fix this issue, install Cumulative Update 13 or a later cumulative update for Exchange Server 2019.
